The Budding Scholars program is available for those going to College or University, already attending, or seeking to re-enroll.
Eligibility:
- Field of Study: Education, Health, Social Services, or Social Justice
- GPA demonstrates academic commitment
- Entering/Enrolled in an accredited College/University
- Demonstrate Community Involvement and Commitment to Giving Back
The Flourishing Professionals scholarship seeks to provide scholarships for professionals who work in education, health, social services, or social justice. This scholarship is available to those who are seeking to enhance their skills and or knowledge through professional or career development workshops, courses, certification, etc.
Eligibility:
- Field of Work/ Volunteer Area: Education, Health, Social Services, or Social Justice in San Joaquin County
- Desire to attend a training, workshop, obtain a resource that will improve your pace in your work or volunteering in these areas
Lecia Harrison established Be Smooth, Inc. and the Power & Purpose Scholarship to honor the legacy of her son, Brandon Harrison, who at 20 years old lost his life due to gun violence. These scholarships are being made available to assist boys & young men of color (BYMOC) from Stockton who have experienced trauma and institutional racism, and BYMOC college students (17-24) interested in using their education to further the necessary and important work of social justice.

Roslyn Burse aka Ms. Roz was a known community leader in South Stockton and beyond. She is known for her dedication to serving, teaching and advocating for South Stockton residents. In honor of her service, the Amelia Ann Adams Whole life Center, her family, and friends have established an award in her name.
